Community Foundation of the Gunnison Valley (CFGV) Community Grants - an annual competitive grant cycle - is open to 501c(3) nonprofits in good standing, government entities and collaborative groups serving the residents of Gunnison County, Colorado. If you are a first-time applicant, a faith-based organization, a collaboration, or have questions about whether or not you qualify, please contact the CFGV staff before beginning an application.
If you received Community Grants funding in 2024, you MUST submit a grant report in order to be considered for funding in 2025! (Grant reports are submitted in the 2024 Community Grants Application and Report)
CFGV currently awards grants in the following areas: arts and culture, community development, environment, education, health and human services, athletics and recreation, domestic animal welfare, historical tradition and preservation, and collaborations.
NEW THIS YEAR! CFGV is administering the Town of Mt. Crested Butte's Community Grant program in addition to our own. These grants are only available to organizations who serve the north end of the Valley. You will be asked if you intend to apply for a Town of Mt. CB grant at the end of the application, and if you do, you will be taken to an additional application page and will be required to answer a few additional questions in order to qualify.
